The next stop on our trip after leaving Death Valley National Park was Reno, Nevada where boo and I enjoyed a week split up at two different properties – John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino Resort and Peppermill Resort & Spa.

Both are hotel/casino properties with all the amenities that come with staying at a casino/resort including multiple restaurants, a fitness center, a full service spa, a heated pool area and plenty of entertainment options.

Our first stop was Peppermill

During our stay at Peppermill, we stayed in the Tuscany Tower, which true to its name is full of Italian themed details and decor such as faux stucco walls and hand painted, Italian artwork.

Our room was beautiful with some of the comfiest bedding that I’ve experienced so far at a hotel. Perhaps, this is partly enhanced by the custom-made plush double-pillow-top king size mattresses?

Either way, I slept like a baby!

In addition to lavish decor, our room was spacious and had three flat screen TVs fitted into gold frames adding a rich touch.

One of the things I regret not doing during our stay is dining at Biscotti’s. The breakfast menu has some uniquely delicious sounding items such as a Bourbon Vanilla French Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Short Rib Hash, to name a few!
