Congratulations to Jennifer Aniston on Getting Her Hollywood Walk of Fame Star!

Adding her name to the Tinseltown’s ‘Walk of Fame’ list, America’s favorite girl-next-door, Jennifer Aniston was presented today with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The ceremony took place on Hollywood Boulevard and marks the 2,462nd star to be inaugurated into the famous stretch of sidewalk.

There to show their support were a few famous faces including, Adam Sandler, Malin Akerman, Kathryn Hahn, and her on-screen beau in Wanderlust, Justin Theroux. Jennifer’s dad, John Aniston was also in attendance.

Jennifer’s latest acting gig, “Wanderlust,” is scheduled for release and is about “a Manhattan couple surveying alternative living options, ultimately deciding to experiment with living on a rural commune where free love rules.”

Taylor Momsen Covers Zink March 2012

She was once an innocent little girl in “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, then she wooed us over as ‘Jenny” in Gossip Girl. Now, Taylor Momsen is the type of girl that Cobra Starship probably had in mind when they wrote their hit, pop song “Good Girls Go Bad”.

After her departure from the CW’s Gossip Girl, Taylor was seen out and about town, often without much more on than layers of extensions, a garter belt and fishnet stockings. Her new-found freedom brought about interviews where Taylor basically said that she had been waiting to break free from her parent’s control for far too long. But wait, far too long? How can that be when Taylor, to this date, is only 18? Yes, 18, yet climbing her ranks in the music world as the lead singer of a band that seems to go entirely to well with her current state of mind: “Pretty Reckless”.

More recently, however, Taylor is featured on the cover of the March 2012 issue of Zink magazine in a series of photos that could easily be mistaken for the poster to a horror movie – creepy girl with long blonde hair and dark eyes? I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something. Afterall, she is wearing Dolce & Gabbana, La Perla and Alexa Wood. Perhaps, this is just Taylor’s version of ‘Goth’ or ‘Punk’ and it’s all a pretend image for her band. Unlikey, but I’m hoping.

Personally, I prefer seeing Miss Momsen dressed in something a little more lady-like and classy. She’s such a pretty girl and while I totally understand the desire for self-expression, I’m just not so sure I get the look she’s going for at present time. Thoughts? More pics below.

Joey Maalouf’s Champagne Toast at the Lincoln Center

Monday evening, we were invited to a special Champagne toast as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The event was hosted by Joey Maalouf, from the hit Bravo TV series “Rachel Zoe Project”, and included a kiosk inside the Lincoln Center, celebrating the Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase line of products. Guests nibbled macaroons, drank Champagne, and enjoyed samples of the new Kinerase Under Eye Recovery Daily Treatment Cream, which features their signature ingredient kinetin.*

The handsome and charismatic TV personality was invited to give individual consultations and his top beauty tips- and you can tell he knows what he’s talking about. We wish we could have spoken longer to Joey, but he was completely swamped by adoring fans. At the end of his consultations, though, he cheekily posed for us next to the Mercedes Benz showcase in the booth next door.

Miranda Lambert and her musician/’The Voice’ hubby were just a few of the stars who were dressed-to-the-nines at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards last night (Sunday) in Los Angeles.

The highly anticipated event showcased not just some of the best musical talent in today’s industry, but some of the top fashion as well.

There was Adam Levine fronting Maroon 5, with his super hot, Victoria’s Secret girlfriend, Anne V (who wore a barely-there dress). Then, musical big-wigs like Adele, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Fergie, Carrie Underwood, and Nicki Minaj (who showed up to the party with a Pope as arm candy), to name a few. Besides nominated artists, there were also fashionable guests like Paris Hilton, Julianne Hough, and a few unexpected visitors like the Youtube sensation Jessica Black and the Jersey Shore’s Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi. The highly successful, British songstress, Adele, is the latest beauty to grace the cover of Vogue magazine for the March 2012 edition.

Fresh off her win of several GRAMMY Awards last night, Adele opened up to the magazine about her bold personality, her recent surgery (for recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage), why she quit drinking, and what she thinks about being famous (she hates being on the red carpet). She also posed for a variety of photographs for photographer, Marcus Piggott, in a photo-shoot styled by Mert Alas.

Interview with Emerging Pop Sensation Emii

Funky, flirty, and fabulous! The music scene’s next big phenom has arrived in the form of Emii. The Ohio born singer seems to have it all, a unique sense of style, power vocals, and a growing catalogue of pop hits that are bound to stay in your head for days. Social Vixen had the chance to find out what inspires Emii and what allows her to keep going.

The music industry is obviously very difficult to break into and navigate. How do you avoid discouragement and not lose faith in yourself
and your talent?

I’ve learned never to allow negative experiences to deter me from continuing to create and perform the music I love for the people I love. Everyone gets discouraged sometimes. The most important thing is to not give up.

Do you have advice for artists out there who are fighting to break into the industry?

Continuously improve, adapt, and learn whatever you can about your craft. Being able to “roll with the punches” has personally helped me immensely. (More after the jump).

On Monday night Nivea launched their ‘Million Moments of Touch’ campaign by hosting a celeb filled party at the Empire State Building. Speakers included Dr. Drew and dazzling power couple Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell. The event offered a plethora of free Nivea products, cocktails, and a view that only the 61st floor of the Manhattan’s tallest skyline could give. The theme of the night was touch. The world is dominated by cell phones and the internet. For this reason interpersonal communication and physical interaction, such as hugging and hand holding has been neglected. Nivea’s new campaign is an attempt to encourage more PDA! It is often the case that work and obligations leave little time for romance. Couples often find it difficult to set aside date nights and other designated portions of time for communication.

It has been reported that over 60% of both men and women have a desire to be touched more by their significant other. Aruba Gifts Patriots Players a Tropical Vacation!

One of my favorite travel destinations, Aruba, is once again stepping up to the plate with their innovative ways to promote the “Happy Island”. As Super Bowl runners-up, the New England Patriots have received an offer from our friends at the Aruba Tourism Authority, to take a trip to Aruba and see first hand, what the island has to offer.

In fact, the Aruba Tourism Authority has offered not just an invite, but an all-expenses paid trip for the entire Patriots roster (I wonder if Gisele is included on the sweet deal). “While only the MVP of the winning club has the opportunity to jet off to another well-known destination (It is custom for the MVP to receive a trip to Disney), Aruba is making the offer to the entire New England squad,” the ATA wrote in a press release. “We want to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work, dedication and season-long success of the team, despite their loss,” said CEO Ronella Tjin Asjoe in the statement. “We believe there is no better place to recover after a loss than Aruba. After all, we are known as ‘One Happy Island.’”
