Even though I’ve only been back from Utah for a couple of days, I’m anxious to get a couple of more ski days under my belt, before the season is over. It’s hard to believe that we’re almost into February and we’re just getting our first big storm of the season. Not so great for the slopes. Thankfully, most of the local ski resorts have been busy making their own snow and creating paths on the mountain. Not all the trails are open, but enough to get a few good runs in. And since there aren’t too many people out yet, there aren’t any lines!

Yesterday, I drove about 45 minutes northwest to ski at Mohawk Mountain. It was strange making the drive without seeing any snow on the ground, though even without snow, it’s still a beautiful drive! I love passing all the rustic farmhouses and seeing signs on the side of the road for produce – like maple sugar – yum!
