Liz Scott has a diverse background in music, coming from 8 years of Operatic & Classical training with Australia’s leading opera & classical teacher “Janice Light”, 5 years of Contemporary training with one of Australia’s top female vocalists “Lisa Schouw”, and running her own successful singing & songwriting teaching school – “Gecko Music Australia”, in Australia for 10 years.  She was signed to major Music labels in Australia as a recording artist and songwriter such as: BMG, Sony, Universal, Rondor, EMI & Alberts, and most recently Made Records.

Liz Scott’s first single “Angel” was released in December 2008 with a second release in November 2009 with a fulminate and exciting run on the Billboard Dance Club charts. Liz took a spot on the coveted Billboard Breakout for Hot Dance Club play and was chosen alongside the legendary Whitney Houston and David Guetta! The record was sitting pretty on the charts for over five weeks, even bumping out Miley Cyrus on her debut.

The “Angel” remix package featured some of the most talented DJ’s and producers in the business, and the tracks have been given heavy play in clubs all over the world as people  was given a taste of Liz. Liz’s next single made a debut in November 2009 with her Holiday single “Merry Christmas – the greatest gift on earth”.

“Princess” – Liz’s first full length album was released February 2010. The album had collaborations from some of the top composers in the world and reflects Liz’s unique voice; a combination of retro pop mixed with disco, funk, soul and classical elements. Her inspiring and heartfelt lyrics are very apparent throughout the album with notable songs featuring upbeat tracks; ‘White Knight’ and ‘Feels Like,’ as well as the impacting lyrics of ‘No Good For Me’ and ‘Drop by Drop.’

“By Your Side” – Liz’s next single, was released in March 2010 with the likes of The Bass Monkeys from the UK. The single was played by high demand on the radio and in the clubs.
Liz Scott’s next steps are to bridge the gap between fame and the common man; with teaching voice and songwriting lessons where she can share her gift and skill with others. Liz will include her students on a reality based webisodes that will be highlighting Liz’s unusual and always nothing short of hilarious and outlandish everyday occurrences! Liz will also be preparing for a whole new image and era to “Liz Scott” – “The Princess of Cause & Effect”, that she will be presenting to the public with a nationwide tour slated for 2011, where Liz will be defining a new meaning and focal point on “what’s missing in today’s artists.”
This season, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Stephanie Unter caught up with Liz Scott and talked fashion, music, and even got Liz to sing for the camera!
