Sachika Spring 2011 “The Vietnamese Princess in Paris”
Sachika Spring 2011 was another really fun show which included several surprise appearances from reality stars Alex McCord, Caroline Manzo, Vanessa & Angela Simmons, Adrienne Bailon and Ice-T's wife Coco.
In the audience was Alex's husband Simon Van Kempen with their son, Francois, Ice -T (with his entourage), Singer Kat Deluna, Tyson Beckford and Caroline Manzo's daughter who all came out to show their support for those walking in the show as well as the Sachika Twins who put together a really fun and high spirited collection for Spring 2011.

Caravan's Boy Meets Girl Fashion Show was one of the more playful shows of the season. Founder/Creative Director, Stacy Igel's collection of contemporary tops, dresses, tracksuits, jumpers, and accessories were edgy, fun flirty and effortlessly chic.

Her innovative mirage - layering techniques produce a color degradé evocative of twilight desert skies, while artful embellishments suggest the fragile beauty of natural minerals. Iridescent crystals adorn evening wear, while luminescent granular film applied to fabric through heat treatment offers a modern interpretation of applique, further revealing the collection's contemporary spirit.

One of the first presentations that I had the pleasure of viewing at the Lincoln Center was designer, Tadashi Shoji's. For this presentation, the models stood beneath white trees dressed in pale gowns of muted blushes, soft lilacs and golds; crinkled silk chiffon, ruffled organza and lace. In their presence - a sea of photographers anxious to catch their shot vied for the perfect, front row spot and the designer himself mingled in the crowd excitedly speaking of his work:

Trina Turk recently brought Palm Springs/SoCal to New York City!
Celebrating her 15th anniversary in business, Turk payed homage to the first retail boutique which opened in Palm Springs. For her spring 2011 collection, Turk displayed swimwear and ready-to-wear clothing in a variety of scenes created throughout the showroom including the pool party, the backgammon game and the lovers' romp.
