A Day in the Rain!

Good morning, New York. I see we have another couple of rainy days ahead of us so get out the umbrellas, rain gear and such! If you are anything like me you own a handful of such neccessities from last minute purchases from street vendors. I have a terrible habit of leaving my apartment with just enough time to catch my train which means no turning around and taking the elevator back up to the 14th floor...once I exit the lobby I must just pray that the weather holds up until I get wherever I am headed. I am getting MUCH better at checking the weather before leaving my apartment. In Orlando (Florida) I never had this problem - it was always sunny with a midday thunderstorm in which everyone went inside. Aaah...how I miss the simplicities!

PINK goes Major League

PINK has gone Major League with officially licensed MLB Apparel! The items feature Victoria's Secret PINK's highly recognizable brand iconography and the names and logos of some of the biggest names in baseball including none other than New York's own Yankees and the Mets. Alexa Chung for Madewell

You might remember Alexa Chung from MTV's 'It's on with Alexa Chung' (or as her long stint as a model) but these days Alexa is working busy to promote her new line of clothing. The Alexa Chung for Madewell party felt like I was walking into a different world - a world where people were calm and happy and rode their bikes to work, stopping along the way to pick flowers and put them in their hair or bring home to decorate the tables. The clothing is very cozy and very chic. I definitely got that 'artsy' Anthropologie vibe. As for where the clothes will actually be sold - I was told mostly online for now*

Alexa Chung For Madewell Gift Bag

At the Alexa Chung for Madewell Presentation I got this really cute gift bag - I just love the old-school, gypsy- bohemian feel! I also think it's so cute how Alexa spelled her name out above the fortune teller-like hands.
