On Sunday night Daniella Kallmeyer presented her FW12 collection at the Highline Loft in for one of fashion weeks off-site shows. Chelsea seemed to be the perfect setting for such clothing to debut, since they recalled the 60’s and reminded one of the beat generation. For edgy fashionistas out there, these shows are an opportunity to find new and interesting styles from emerging designers. Born in South African, raised in DC, and trained in London: Daniella Kallmeyer knows all about creating a unique flare.

She uses colors that only the most daring ladies would wear. Kallmeyer chose a bold orange for many of the pieces (a color that is sure to rock the fall season). Sure there are some blacks and navy blues but even these pieces offer striking contrast to what can normally be seen on the runway. For instance the grey colored pieces are constructed with neon Rorschach designs. Who would have thought that a instrument of psychology could serve the fashion world?
