Soaking up some sun and some amazing views of the Caribbean, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently enjoyed some alone time (comparatively speaking, of course minus all the body guards, staff, and visiting family members) at the Aurora House on the Island of Mustique.
The Aurora House is a gorgeous vacation home that has three master bedroom suites (for visiting friends and family to stay) with a large great room for gathering, an outdoor dining gazebo, and several outdoor terraces with spectacular vistas of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. This luxury rental has plenty of sophisticated touches that are sure to keep it’s guests busy exploring like a sunset viewing deck, unique pools, (a plunge pool & rock dipping pond), and fascinating art and collectibles in each of the rooms. While this villa invites lounging, there’s also plenty to do in the local area as well. Like most of the Caribbean, local activities include scuba diving, horseback riding, spa excursions, and of course, there are plenty of pristine beaches to explore. (Though my guess is that the royal couple took some time to relax).

Below: This rock pond is perfect for soaking during a hot day or for an unforgettable view of the sunset.
Outdoor terrace fit for entertaining, lounging, or just relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book.
Fresh flowers add a nice touch – harvested from the local grounds.
I love that there are fresh flower petals on the beds – I really wish more hotels would do this!
This king size canopy bed is screaming for a night spent with the windows open and the drapes undone from the canopy posts! I can just picture them blowing in the wind to the smell and sound of the ocean and chirping insects! (I would still hope there’s a screen of some sort on the windows/doors).
I love the giant turtle shell hanging on the wall – although, I hope that this turtle wasn’t killed for it’s shell, but rather the shell was left behind after a long and happy life.
I’m not sure, but I think that there is a whale vertebrae on the table in the photo below. I’ve always been extremely fascinated by science/biology and in fifth grade, my class studied Whaling as part of our local, New England history. Since then, I’ve always been intrigued by these giant sea creatures – and also a little scared! I hate swimming in the ocean knowing that enormous creatures like this live in it. It makes me feel like fish food.
The Jasmine Mustique is the guest cottage located on the property. You can see the full floor plan below.
Rustic charm can be found in the architectural design.
